Why it is hard to believe that love is possible

The world is filled with doubt. Many look at their lives as if nothing is going to change. When I was single, I felt as if love would never happen. I looked upon my happily coupled friends in awe wondering how they got to be so lucky while I silently suffered in my loneliness. I knew about the law of attraction and that I had to start believing love was possible for me to attract the one, but how?

The reason it is so hard for singles who have been lonely for a long period of time to muster up the feeling of faith is because of the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is part of our ego that clings to the limited world, it only can see the past. This deep mind operates on autopilot, warning you of danger and reacting to familiar experiences and resisting what is unknown. For the deep, subconscious mind, only the past exists in the present, there is no future, no hope. This is why you repeat patterns and never seem to break the poor dating habits that continue to perpetuate your single status. You don’t have faith that love is possible.

In order to generate faith, a new energy must be called in from the superconscious or divine mind. This is the spiritual, light part of you that believes in the unseen, that has faith in a higher power. This creative part of your mind is unlimited, it can pave a path in your mind to a new future. Many people see this part of them as their “big Self” that is connected to all that is, can move beyond time and space and create matter from nothing. Instead of trying to convince the subconscious ego of the possibility of love, acknowledge that it will never be able to see it unless you invite your divine self in to bring in the light.

This process is done with the power of the hypnotic state. The trance experience suspends the doubting mind and brings in the light of the superconscious to create new futures and realities. By simply visualizing yourself in love and being next to the man of your dreams, you start to add a new quality of thinking to the subconscious – you are building a new memory as if love has already happened for you. Then it will be easy for you to generate the feelings of hope. Just like you have faith that you can stand up and walk because you have done it so many times in the past, your subconscious mind will automatically start believing in the magic of true love coming into your life.

Your will or conscious mind can direct the subconscious in any way you like. Unfortunately, most let the subconscious run on autopilot and complain that nothing ever changes. You have the power to take command of your dating destiny by simply creating a new future inside your own mind. Wayne Dyer says, “When you believe it, you will see it.” That pretty much sums up how your life is created. Faith is the most important tool in your personal development tool box. Find faith and everything falls into place.
